At In Any Event UK, we have worked hard to implement greener event policies and are currently working towards achieving the BS8901 Sustainable Events Standard. We have also signed up to the Green Capital Pledge in Bristol.
The guidelines we follow for greener events are that they should be organised electronically, minimise carbon emissions for traveling delegates and speakers, save energy, practice recycling and adopt environmentally-thoughtful measures wherever practical and possible.
We have an environmental checklist we work towards as well as a generic green policy. To request a copy of our Top 10 Green Event Tips either click on the link or send an email to venues@inanyevent-uk.com with your contact details.
Our bespoke online delegate registration system Eazybook provides a totally paperless, environmentally friendly system. Delegates register online and receive all communication electronically, including invoices, confirmation of payment, maps, directions and final joining instructions.
Following on from the success of the Sustainable Events Masterclass which we organised and ran in May 2009, we are working with Envirowise, SWRDA and the Government Office for the South West to put on an event to educate hotels and other conference and meeting venues on becoming more sustainable. The seminar will give an insight into the positives of being a more sustainable venue, explain to to register on the greener events guide website, provide best practice and top tips on being more environmentally aware. It will also offer practical advice on how to save money and become a more resource efficient business.
