To create a 3 hour team based activity that will engage all the delegates from new staff starting to senior partners. The range of ages and an approximate 50 / 50 ratio of male and female demanded a challenge that require a wide range of skill sets to be used.
Delegates were divided into six teams and each provided a breakout room. They were then given a brief to create a 60 second commercial which must promote a pair of rubber gloves. The team had to include a director, costume designer, props and producing manager, script and sound engineer and on screen actors.
As each team were against the clock, time management and good communication within the team was essential. Due to the nature of the tasks, delegates soon found a role that they were comfortable with, whether it was in front or behind the camera. The final results of the commercials were later screened in the evening with an award ceremony. A large percentage of the commercials produced had a great deal of comedy attached and the entertainment exceeded all expectations. With various awards for best use of costume, actor and director etc the evening was a roaring success. The outcome created a much greater bond within staff and their departments and still remains a highlight of the company’s social activities.
